Building Resilient Kids - Wed Sep 1st and 8th 2010 - Sydney

Week one covered 'The Resilience Doughnut' and week two's topic was 'Negotiating the Peer Group'. Both parents and teachers attended this thought provoking workshop on how we encourage children to develop resilience, coping skills and social awareness.

DATES & TIMES: Wed 1st and 8th Sep 2010.
7.30 - 9 pm. You can attend one or both evenings.

LOCATION: Parramatta Baptist Church
84 Kleins Rd, Northmead

COST: $10 per evening - pay at the door

Singapore visit - August 2010

Lyn Worsley was invited by the Institute of Mental Health, Singapore to present the Resilience Doughnut at their public forum on Children, Youth and Resilience in August 2010. The forum was packed to capacity and many parents attended, eager to know how to enhance the resilience of their children. Lyn was able to share with this audience about the importance of a meaningful parent/child relationship, and also the emphasis on noticing strengths.

Mental Health and Wellbeing of Young People - Fri Sep 10th 2010 - Sydney
Lyn Worsley will be presenting at this one day workshop for professionals, alongside of other experts in the youth mental health field, such as Paul Dillon and Michael Carr-Greg. Lyn Worsley will be presenting on "Resilience Strategies for Young People".

Mates Gangs and Peer Groups - Wed 22nd September 2010 - Sydney
Help young people to learn rich life lessons from the ups and downs of their peer relationships. This seminar will introduce you to the stages of moral development for young people, give insight into adolescent peer group dynamics and help you engage with young people to support their moral development, empathy and social skills.
