Black Stump Festival - October 2nd-5th, 2009 - Sydney

Christina Wiseman presented the Resilience Doughnut at a workshop on Saturday 3rd October at the Black Stump festival. The workshop was attended by many youth leaders and workers, wanting to learn about building resilience in young people. We also had lots of young people come along who wanted to learn how to bounce back in the midst of difficulties they were facing.

Christina Wiseman is part of a team from Alpha Counselling Services, headed up by our director Lyn Worsley, author of The Resilience Doughnut!

Lyn and the Alpha Counselling team run "The Change Room" each year at Black Stump festival, and present a number of workshops - click here to see what workshops we offered in 2009.

Young people were welcome to come along to "The Change Room" anytime during the Black Stump festival weekend, and complete a Resilience Doughnut questionnaire to find out their strengths that can help them to bounce back during hard times. We had over 150 people complete their own Resilience Doughnut!
